Reluctant Obedience

Dear God! It’s actually haunting me.

I’ve heard of this sort of thing happening to people, but I never thought it would happen to me.

A year into the haunting (reminder: we read and we DON’T JUDGE), I simply thought- naively, the obsessive thoughts and ruminating would go away. I thought I could satisfy it with a post here or there and then I would go into hiding; you know-going on strike and burying the pen!

Tell God your plans and He laughs right?

Well I never shared my plans with Him and He did more than chuckle.

Have you ever walked in disobedience so long that the environment  is practically screaming at you to obey?  I have everything reminding me to keep writing except for the trees outside my window. Balaams’ Donkey spoke to him. (Numbers 22-21-39) Fortunately when I’m struggling to obey, my cat only gives me an annoyed expression, as if to say “just do it already”. And for that, I am very thankful.

The continual obsession burning within my stomach to pick up a pen and create, never stops.

For those who sent me encouraging words, I have read them and I thank you. My Jonah season has officially ended. I will work on updating this blog and new posts are coming soon! With that being said, I am only a scribe; I will write only what the Holy Spirit instructs me to. Not every post will resonate with you, but I urge you as you should do in all things, test the spirit!

Peace and Blessings always,

Marcia
